Angel Funke who comes at us from Barcelona with previous deep and jazzy house style releases on Novo Music and Simposio delivers a nice slice of disco breaks for Super Hi-Fi’s tenth release. Complete with poppin bass and a nice shuffle break, “Disco Nights” is a great tune that is perfect for your nu-disco sets. Kid Stretch from Greece remixes the song in an almost full on live style with jangling drums, funky organ and a complete horn section. Trotter whom hails from Brazil takes the song in a more modern direction cutting up the samples and creating a groove with a 303 style bassline after the drop. Label owners B-Team deliver a dizzying FX laden future-boogie version complete with vocoder bits and some tough latin percussion flairs to take their remix over the edge. Finally Canadian house-meister Dj Spiltmilk drops us into a deep Idjut Boys like groove complete with dirty guitar and groovy bassline for the final remix. Finally a remix package where every remix has a unique and varied way of telling the same story.
