DiscObeta's debut on Super Hi-Fi is a great bit of down-tempo funk, featuring some unique sounding keys, a lumbering break-beat, thumping bass guitar and some great up-front horns to round the whole thing out. Reminiscent of something Mo-Wax would put out in its heyday. DiscObeta is known for his banging releases on Breakbeat Paradise, but this release sees him in a more organic and laid back light. The Jayl Funk remix ups the tempo and really brings the jam to the party, the summer breeze style guitar really propels the remix and Jayl brings in the right elements to keep the jam popping. The Jack and Jointz remix goes for a more electronic route but still keeps the real feel by adding in a cranking saxophone that melds into some more acidic elements as the remix progresses. Rolling breakbeats, cool congas and a reworking of the original elements is the rule of the day with the Funky Boogie Brothers remix, it's a romping uptempo take on the original that adds a bit of a jazzy element.
